Using the “Trackback” Feature to Build Traffic to Your Business Blog

Trackback links notify you when one of your blog posts have been referred to or quoted by another blog. Generally, when another blog references your post and includes a trackback link, a comment will be displayed in the comment section of your post. The comment usually display the first few lines of text and link back to the referring blog post. This comment acts as an endorsement of the information you are providing and can be a great way for you and your company to build a reputation as an expert in your field.

Referring to other blog post using trackback links can be a effective way for you and your company to get extra exposure as well. A comment will be added to the post that you are referring to from your blog. The comment will include the first few lines of text from your post and a link back to your site.
